CES is a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of advanced composite parts and assemblies for the defence, aerospace, transport and energy sectors. With expertise in composite component design, development and production, CES has also invested in R&D activities to expand its product portfolio to cover ballistic product manufacturing. Through its facilities in the United Kingdom, Turkey and Singapore, CES has the infrastructure, capability and capacity to supply advanced composite materials, ballistic protective armour and engineering services to local and international customers.
Our seamless composite shell made from best-in-class Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) gives our combat helmets robust protection all round. Meanwhile, advanced engineering design ensures exceptional ballistic protection against bullet and fragmentation threats without compromising on defence against blunt trauma. Improved geometry similar to the Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) enables better situational awareness together with superior field of vision. All-important ballistic protection is according to STANAG 2920 17gr FSP (up to >1,000 m/s with additional plates). MICH shape helmets are also available.
Excellent shock and impact resistance Ultra-lightweight solutions with maximum protection and low trauma values NIJ 0101.04, NIJ 0101.06, VPAM, HOSDB and CAST protection standards Ergonomic shape provides comfort for all users Durable and reliable carrier finish Customised solutions for a range of different threat scenarios
Our combat-proven add-on armour systems for tracked and wheeled platforms feature stand-alone and appliqué solutions up to and including NATO STANAG 4569 (AEP 55) Levels 5 and 6 – all designed bespoke to meet your platform, structure and ballistic specifications.
CES third generation spall liner systems deliver unparalleled ballistic performance – and are noted for their cost-effectiveness. Using our highly specialised and bespoke manufacturing processes, we design and build 3D spall liner systems without the need for excessive or expensive tooling.
Our range of under-belly and wheel arch protection solutions is designed to offer additional defence from IEDs and anti-vehicle landmines. Built from lightweight engineered materials, our blast protection systems can be used to enhance protection in specific, high-risk locations around the vehicle, while maintaining mission capability.
Our comprehensive protection solutions work in combination with vessels’ hulls to provide additional ballistic protection from high-level threats. The system can be added externally as a stand-alone application, or internally behind the face of the hull to work in conjunction with existing hull material. All our protection systems are designed to integrate seamlessly with new build vessels as well as with upgrades and re-fits.
Our portfolio of ultra-lightweight protection solutions are specifically designed for use on patrol boats, RIBS and smaller craft, with modular systems that provide protection to critical areas such as cockpit, console or gunner positions. Composite protection solutions are significantly lighter than conventional steel armour which enables smaller, lighter vessels to achieve higher speeds and retain manoeuvrability.
At CES, our range of modular naval shield and auxiliary systems can be modified for use in multiple areas of your fleet to protect portable and fixed gunner positions. Our shields can also be adapted to suit new and existing vessel configurations to ensure enhanced, standardised protection across the ship.
At CES, our wing armour and exterior panels meet international standards and provide enhanced protection and survivability. Our armour can be designed in complex shapes with UHMWPE, Aramid and Carbon Fibre reinforced materials – and always with the highest quality manufacturing standards and on-time delivery.
Backed by quality certification – from AS9100 to NADCAP – our customised lightweight ballistic protection solutions for aviation platforms are designed to protect interiors and exteriors alike. Our modular armour panels can provide additional protection to cabins, floors, walls and even ramps.
